7 Types of Business Photography Photos

If you’re getting ready to launch a business, update your website, take your social media to the next level you might be asking yourself “What types of photos does my business need?”.

Business photography can be many different things depending on your business or branding needs. Before your photography session you’ll want to brainstorm all the different types of photos you’ll need to have captured during your photography session. What are your goals for the photoshoot, what style of images you would like and where you plan on using them. Once you’ve gathered that information, it’s time to book a consultation/meeting with your photographer to start planning the session!

Not sure where to start? We’ve come up with a list of a few types of photos you might be adding to your photography photo list for your session.

  1. Headshot Photos - Either to update your current photo or for everyone to have the same setting to create a cohesive look.

  2. Team/Group Photos - A Photo of the entire team you work with as well as sub groups that work together for example if you are a dental office you might want an individual group photo of, admins, hygienists, dentists, etc.

  3. Location Photos - Storefront or office photos, this can be inside or outside photos.

  4. Candid Lifestyle Photos - Although candid, we stage the photos to create specific content you would need to show what your business does. Ex. if you’re a candle maker you would be photographed making a candle, packaging it, etc.

  5. Stock Images - This is especially important if you’re trying to build strong brand recognition, instead of using generic photos your would create all on brand photos to use.

  6. Lifestyle Product Photos - Photos of your products in a real life setting.

  7. Product Photos - Simple photo of your product with a solid background no styling.
