Why do we chose to photograph Weddings?

As all of us Wedding Photographers say - because we love, LOVE! There is something so magical about weddings and being able to capture every moment for you. As a wedding photographer, our job is to capture the memories while you live them and enjoy the moment. One of our biggest “Why” for wanting to offer affordable wedding photography in Ottawa and Carleton Place area came from our own search for the right photographer on our wedding day. We wanted simple, easy to work with and budget friendly, these are now characteristics we use to describe ourselves with when talking about our wedding photography!

A little about our photography style as Carleton Place Wedding Photographers

As mentioned, we strive to offer a wedding photography service we would want to work with for our own wedding. Our approach for the entire process is keeping it simple, stress free and fun/exciting. Candid photos are our jam! We love to take them but we also always make sure to take a few traditional portraits because as trends evolve timeless photos will always be in style. Going with a bit of a timeless look, we typically photograph in a true-to-colour style. Which pretty much means, the colours you see is how we photograph but with a little extra vibrance of course.

The best way to get your Wedding Day Photography jitters out is with engagement photos together! This way, you know what to expect during our time to take your wedding day portraits and as your photographer I get to see how you both interact with the camera.

Let’s get started! Here is what to expect once you’ve sent us an inquiry!

1. We will confirm if your Wedding date is available!

2. We will set up a Zoom Call with you to go over Wedding Details such as Wedding Venue, Bridal Party, Wedding Timeline, Photography Needs for the Day (ex. ceremony photography, portrait session, reception photography, etc.) and all that fun wedding talk stuff! Once we’ve got the details we need, a contract will be sent over to you to lock in your date.

3. Once that is done, we are going to schedule your Engagement Photography Session. Are you wondering why I include engagement sessions in all my wedding photography packages? As a Wedding Photographer, I include an engagement session to give us the chance to work together before the wedding to make being in front of the camera less intimidating on the day of! If you’ve been together a while, you have a family and would rather have a Family Photography Session instead of only the two of you we can certainly do that.

4. As we get closer to your wedding date and you have finalized your timeline, we will go over everything together. I also ask that my couples prepare a list of all names/groups for the Family Formal Photos taken.

5. Wedding Day!! As we photograph your wedding, I always want our couples to remember… It’s not my photoshoot, it’s your Wedding Day! We want you to enjoy it and we will capture it.

6. 3-4 Weeks after your Wedding you will receive your full digital gallery of the photos captures at your wedding.
